Help LuchisHope!

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Luchi (Luciana Triggiano Villamizar). She lost her fierce and brave battle with cancer and left us on December 18, 2016, a few months shy of her fourth birthday. Her family, friends, doctors, nurses and volunteers will for ever miss her indomitable spirit and sweet, charismatic personality. We were blessed to have shared some very special moments with Luchi. Little princess, you left us too soon.

Blessings to all, I want to tell you a little of my story, I’m a little princess 2 years and 11 months, who recently struggled with a relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I’m in Miami with my mom and my grandmother receiving treatment, but I need a bone marrow transplant, share my story and be a part of this miracle.

About a year and a month ago I was diagnosed with (ALL) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (6/11/2014) caused much consternation, much to my parents for being so small should start with this fight to win this battle for life.

I received treatment in our hometown, managing to stay in remission (zero blasts) for approximately 11 months and means.

In mid-January and already having completed approximately 7 weeks of maintenance, doctors of our country in Maracaibo, Venezuela allowed us to come to fulfill one of my dreams, because I love Minnie Mouse and the Disney Princesses.

Just stepping on American soil I started to present fever repeated, by which my mom and I immediately went to the nearest emergency for us hospital, Jackson Memorial.

That same day after serving us very graciously and me several blood tests to determine the reason for my fever, we were informed the night of January 22 this year that showed high white blood cell count; (89 000 white beads) so presumed it was in relapse, ie the disease had returned after 11 months…. read more.
