Halloween at the Holtz 2015

Halloween can be a magical, spooky, and amazingly fun holiday, and we are so thrilled to be able to share it with the children in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Units of the Holtz Children’s Hospital.

We had spooky Halloween fun making goodies bags for patients and getting all the little hands to create fun bats out of toilet paper rolls!! Not to mention a fun Halloween party where we created our Halloween masks with the children!!

Art Spanning the Generations

After immersion in a world of color and creativity, the children leave the art room renourished and recharged, helping them cope with their many challenges. Art heals and nourishes, and it also connects!

Connecting the generations, the elders at a participating nursing home stenciled art designs for children at the hospital to paint!! Thank you artist & art therapist Leah Guzman for your compassion and support !

Treated Canvas Donations

The children we work with love receiving little gifts of art supplies, and a favorite is treated canvases. These fun Canvases were created by local high school students in Miami and donated to the Children’s hospital for the inpatients to paint! Great collaboration among kids!!

Thank you Gulliver Prep, Dash, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Treated Canvases Donation from Mary Munn & the Students at Gulliver Prep

Thank you (again) to Mary Munn and her National Art Honors Society students for their Gulliver Prep Artcares Projects! The talented art students at Gulliver Prep donated a mountain of treated canvases for the children of the Pediatric Oncology and Transplant units at Jackson Memorial’s Holtz Children Hospital.

Thank you Mary for your Creativity & Inspiration!
